Learn Dutch with Smartinga
Learn Dutch by reading Dutch. Smartinga for adults is on its way, starting at A1.
What to expect
- Short texts about everyday life: shopping, your work, the doctor, your child's school.
- Tap a word to see what it means, explained in English, and hear how it sounds.
- Questions with every text, so you notice that you understand it.
- At your own level, from A1. Reading and listening first; speaking and writing come later.
Start today
In the app, choose ‘Ik leer zelf Nederlands’ (I am learning Dutch myself) and a level. You then read Smartinga's stories, with help in English. They are still about children's lives; the texts for adults will be added.
